Performance for One

A performance text meant for one performer and one audience member. A text about memory, but even more so, it is about relationship between performer, audience member, and author. What is the responsibility of the audience member, and how is it felt differently when there is only one audience member? Who is the story teller, the author or the performer? What happens to a memory that two people share after one of those people is gone?

Produced at the Secret City Art Revival in Woodstock, NY; At various venues in New York City including Chashama, the Ezair Gallery, and Governor’s Island.

Possessed by a Rebellious Spirit

Casey, a teenage girl, gets a little "visit" from her recently deceased grandmother. In an effort to grab just one more taste of reality, grandma gets a chance to see the world out of the eyes of her teenage granddaughter. In the process, Casey learns a lot she didn't know about her family history and herself.

Winner of TADA Theater's annual playwriting contest (short plays for teen actors).

The Boy Who Wanted to be a Robot

A puppet play fairy tale about a boy raised by robots who does not want to be human. An examination of a child on a spectrum, through metaphor.

The Taste of Blue

A monologue (presented optionally with puppets) about a teenage girl who can taste color and see music. She has synesthesia, a condition in which the senses are mixed.
